Job summary

Edge View Homes Limited is seeking compassionate support workers to join our growing family. Roles available on full-time and part-time bases, with shifts typically between 0800 and 2100, and a starting rate of £12.71 per hour, depending on experience.

We offer four weeks of annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time), a company pension, and opportunities to progress via the nurse associate scheme after two years of service. Training provided and a strong supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties as required under the direction of the Manager/Shift Leader.
• To be involved in meeting each service user’s individual needs on a daily basis, including transporting service users to appointments if licensed to drive.
• To support service users' individual priority needs, completing daily timetables as directed.
• To facilitate involvement of service users in daily household tasks (cleaning, laundry, shopping, meals).
• Assist in providing basic care where people have a physical illness.
• You may be expected to carry out personal care as part of the role.
• Report client issues/concerns to the Manager.
• Participate in service users’ leisure pursuits at home and in the community.
• Act as Key-Worker for identified service users where appropriate.
• Advocate on behalf of service users where appropriate.
• Work flexible hours to meet individual needs.
• Participate in the support planning process.
• Undertake any other duties as reasonably required by the Company.
