Job summary

Advance Housing and Support Ltd in Gosport is looking for a dedicated Support Worker to help people with learning disabilities, autism or mental health needs live the lives they choose. The role involves personal care, medication support, meal preparation, appointments and daily activities, with 37.5 hours per week and weekend work.

You’ll need at least two years in care, a full UK driving license, good communication and teamwork, and the ability to complete records and follow care plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience within the care sector
• Good at working on your own and within a team
• Excellent at communicating with people
• Able to complete quality support records
• Able to work every other weekends
• Able to work sleep ins
• Ability to follow a Support Plan and Risk Assessments and maintain customer records
• Need to be literate and numerate in English
• Willingness and ability to achieve the Care Certificate

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required)
• Medication administration (if required)
• Support with preparing and cooking meals
• Support with attending medical appointments
• Support with social activities
• Support with independent skills
• Support with domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry
