Job summary

Mirus Wales in Cardiff is seeking a compassionate and proactive Support Worker to join a new supported living service for two young women. Both residents are active, enjoy gym sessions, swimming, family time and community outings.

Brand New service set in Cardiff - Female drivers needed

We have an excitingopportunity for a Support worker to join our dedicated team in Cardiff. We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic and person-centred Support Workers to join our new supported living service and support two fantastic young ladies to live life to the fullest. Both ladies are very active and outgoing and enjoy going to the gym, swimming, spending time with family and getting out and about in the community. One lady is 27 and enjoys the independence of having her own job. The other is 23 and thrives with a busy timetable of activities. We are looking for staff who will support their individual interests, encourage independence, build positive relationships and help them enjoy a fulfilling and active lifestyle. If you are caring, patient, energetic and passionate about supporting people to achieve their goals, we would love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

As a Support Worker, you will:

• Support people to do the things they enjoy, try new experiences, and live good lives.
• Assist with household tasks, shopping, meal preparation, personal care, and maintaining routines.
• Encourage and support people to strengthen relationships with family, friends, and their community.
• Work alongside professionals such as social workers, nurses, and occupational therapists to ensure people receive the best support.
• Listen to the people you support and support them to make choices about their lives.
