Job summary

Mirus Wales in Swansea is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help people build relationships, try new things, and feel part of their community so they can live good lives.

You will support individuals with daily activities, personal care, and community engagement, working alongside professionals to ensure the best care. A full UK driving licence is required and training opportunities are provided.

We are a 4-bedroom supported living home currently supporting 2 individualswithAutism andLearning difficulties, we work in aPerson-centredway to create a homely environment where people canbe independent and live in an environment tailored to suit their needs. ThisRoleentails supportingwithdomesticduties,MedicationadministrationandPersonal carealong withactivelysupportingIndividuals in their homeand out in thecommunity.

What You'll Do

As a Support Worker, you will:

  • Support people to do the things they enjoy, try new experiences, and live good lives.
  • Assist with household tasks, shopping, meal preparation, personal care, and maintaining routines.
  • Encourage and support people to strengthen relationships with family, friends, and their community.
  • Work alongside professionals such as social workers, nurses, and occupational therapists to ensure people receive the best support.
  • Listen to the people you support and support them to make choices about their lives.
