Job summary

CareTech’s Bright Care service in St Mary’s Bay is seeking a Support Worker to assist adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs in a friendly beachside home.

You will deliver person-centred support, help with daily living skills, and promote independence while building confidence and life skills. Full induction and DBS are provided.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work towards Level 2 in Health and Social Care
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)
• No previous experience? Training and induction provided

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
• Support activities, appointments, and community access
• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
• Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins

Rate: £13.03 per hour + £78.30 per sleep-in

Permanent | Full-time | 36 hours per week (rota-based)

About the Service - Bright Care

Bright Care is a lovely beach side residential care home supporting 5 service users who like to take part in activities such as, visiting local amenities, going to the beach, Bowling, going out for meals and picnics alike. Accessing the New Romney Hythe and Dymchurch railways to visit the local areas. Supporting service users to attend day care throughout the week. Bright care Residential Service is located at St Mary’s Bay, the service is a detached chalet bungalow situated within quiet residential area. The service users enjoy spending time in their beautiful garden, growing fruit and vegetables, watering the many flowers and plants and taking part in many of the activities such as football, bowling and swing ball, access to the garden is via their wheelchair ramp.

Service Users are supported to go on an annual holiday each year.

The Role

You will:

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.

No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we’ll provide full training and a structured induction programme.
