Job summary

Certitude is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for Essex locations including Chelmsford, Braintree, Epping Forest and Redbridge. The role focuses on specialist support to maximise independence for people with learning disabilities and complex needs, in person-centred activities and community participation.

You will provide ongoing coaching, ensure accurate records and collaborate with managers to deliver high-quality services.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting people who may challenge (verbally or physically), especially on the autistic spectrum.
• Ability to remain calm and confident in challenging situations.
• Experience in Positive Behaviour Support.
• Experience enabling people with a learning disability/autism to take positive risks.
• Possess a manual driving licence and be able to drive a 7-seater van.
• Knowledge of the Transforming Care Agenda.

• Ensure all plans and records relating to the people we support are accurate and up to date.

About the role

The role of the Support Worker is to provide specialist expertise and support to facilitate teams in achieving person centred outcomes for the people we support, some of whom have profound and complex needs, to maximise the individual’s independence and enable them to be active in their communities.

Duties will include:

To be a Support Worker at Certitude, it is essential you have experience for this role in:
