Job summary

Salford City Council is seeking a caring Support Worker to join our Supported Living team. You will tailor person-centred care to individuals, helping them live as independently as possible and participate in daily activities.

This role focuses on practical assistance, relationship building and reporting concerns, with a full UK driving licence required. We offer induction, development opportunities and a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Tailor person-centred care to the individual needs, aspirations and outcomes.
• Work with senior Support Workers to embed strategies and approaches to meet needs.
• Provide practical assistance, encouragement and guidance to enable independent living.
• Support people with daily living activities, health, wellbeing and medication needs.
• Encourage participation in social, leisure and community activities.
• Maintain accurate records and report any concerns.
• Support people to develop positive relationships and to be an equal and valued member of their local community.
