Job summary

Sense Scotland is recruiting dedicated Support Workers for the Forfar Housing Support Service. You will support four individuals with learning disabilities, sensory needs, and behaviours that can challenge, delivering person-centred daily care with compassion and creativity.

Join a supportive team led by a Registered Manager, providing flexible shift patterns including earlies, lates and waking nights. We value warm relationships, adaptability, and a proactive approach to meaningful activities

Qualifications

• Experience with people who have learning disabilities and complex needs is desirable.
• Ability to adapt and respond calmly to challenging situations.
• Strong communication skills, including with non-verbal cues and sensory needs.
• Commitment to person-centred care and building trusting relationships.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living activities and personal care.
• Assist with medication administration and records as required.
• Provide safe care with manual handling and wheelchair assistance.
• Support meal planning, cooking, and shopping tasks.
• Assist with finances and budgeting where appropriate.
• Document and maintain support plans and risk assessments.
