Job summary

Voyage Care Ltd is seeking on-site Support Workers who are genuinely caring and hands-on, to help people gain more independence in daily life within a dynamic team.

You will support individuals to build confidence, develop life skills, and participate in community activities, outings, and social opportunities, improving overall quality of life. Training and ongoing development are provided in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Resilient, flexible and composed in their approach.
• Experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans.
• Reflective practice.
• Experience working with individuals with autism, complex individuals with mental health needs, traumatic backgrounds and challenging behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills
• Assisting with personal care
• Encouraging them to access their local communities
• Socialising and doing lots of activities
• Engaging in various activities such as going out to local bars and pubs, playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema
