Job summary

Certitude in the United Kingdom is looking for compassionate Support Workers to help people with complex needs live independent lives in their communities. You will provide person-centred support, work with the team to implement care plans and ensure consistency in service delivery.

Full training and ongoing coaching are provided. A driving licence is desirable to support community-based roles and travel across locations in the Chelmsford area and beyond.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people who may challenge, esp. on the autistic spectrum.
• Ability to stay calm in challenging situations.
• Experience enabling people with learning disabilities/autism to take positive risks.
• Full driving licence and ability to drive a 7-seater van.
• Knowledge of the Transforming Care Agenda.

Responsibilities

• Make a difference in the lives of those you support.
• Use recovery-oriented and person-centred planning tools.
• Keep plans and records accurate and up to date.
• Support daily tasks to maximise independence.
• Work with local managers and teams to deliver great service.
• Undertake personal care and manual handling as needed.
