Job summary

Outward in London NE is looking for proactive Support Workers to help adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs live meaningful, independent lives. You will provide person-centered care, assist with daily living, and work with the team to ensure high-quality service delivery across shifts.

Your role includes safeguarding, privacy, and ongoing training, with duties across evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. A compassionate attitude and DBS clearance are essential.

Qualifications

  • Safeguarding knowledge and risk management in care settings.
  • GDPR and data protection understanding.
  • Strong communication and teamwork in close-support environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals to achieve personal goals and outcomes as per support plans.
  • Provide direct, person-centered support emphasizing dignity, independence and inclusion.
  • Assist with daily living tasks including personal care, meals, budgeting, and community access.
  • Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, social workers and external agencies.
  • Carry out key-worker duties, update support plans and risk assessments.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with policies and standards.
  • Safeguard health, safety and wellbeing following procedures.
  • Identify and report risks, incidents or safeguarding concerns.
