Job summary

CareTech is recruiting for Support Workers to join Cragside House in Huddersfield, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. The role offers 37.5 hours per week on a rota, permanent full-time contract and a rate of £12.79 per hour.

You will build positive relationships, help with daily living, promote independence and work as part of a PBS-aligned team. Enhanced DBS is required and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to work days, evenings, alternate weekends and bank holidays
• Experience supporting adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs is desirable
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)
• Good communication and written skills
• Ability to stay calm under pressure
• Team player with a caring attitude

Responsibilities

• Build positive, trusting relationships with service users
• Support daily living tasks and personal goals
• Encourage independence and choice
• Help access activities and community involvement
• Follow Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans
• Support with health needs and medication (training provided)
