Job summary

CareTech is recruiting Support Workers for Cragside House in Cheltenham to help adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. Whether new or experienced, you can build a rewarding, long-term career with meaningful activities and 24/7 support.

You will work to promote independence, dignity and wellbeing, following individual care plans and PBS guidelines while contributing to a team that provides high-quality, person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Ability to work days, evenings, alternative weekends and bank holidays.
• Experience of supporting adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs.
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech).
• Good communication and written skills.
• Ability to keep calm under pressure.
• Confidence to work alone and also be part of a team (family).
• Experience with autism, epilepsy or challenging behaviour is great, but not essential - attitude matters more than experience.
