Leicestershire County Council’s Carlton Drive Short Breaks in Wigston is seeking a dedicated support worker to provide person-centred care for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and physical or sensory impairments.

You will deliver day-to-day support, personal care, help with daily living activities, and work within a 30-hour week with weekends and bank holidays included, in a modern public sector environment with opportunities to develop and progress.

Competenze

• Commitment to high quality care and independence, anti-discriminatory practice.
• Ability to use equipment for moving and handling and support people with complex needs.
• Effective communication with service users, including alternative methods (e.g., Makaton).
• Good organisational skills to manage workloads and stay calm under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, respond to crises.
• IT and written skills to write and maintain records clearly.
• Willingness to work a 24/7 service with weekends and bank holidays, and attend training.
