Job summary

Leicestershire County Council in Wigston requires a Care Services Team Leader for 30 hours per week at Carlton Drive Short Breaks. You will work within a rota that includes weekends/holidays and participate in ongoing training and supervision to maintain service excellence.

Qualifications

• Commitment to high‑quality care and maximising independence; ability to assist with moving and handling of people using available equipment.
• Be responsive to meet the changing needs of a 24/7 service; available to work flexibly including weekends and bank holidays.
• Supervisory/managerial experience in social care; strong IT and written record keeping.
• Knowledge of Fundamental Standards set by the Care Quality Commission.
• Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification; willing to attend training.
• Ability to analyse information to reach defensible decisions and manage risk assessments with team guidance.
• Experience managing risk including safeguarding of service users.
