Job summary

The National Autistic Society is recruiting a Support Worker for Kingsley House in Bideford, Devon. You will follow individual support plans to help autistic adults lead fulfilling lives, in a 24-hour learning environment.

We’re looking for caring, reliable people who can work evenings and weekends. Driving licence is preferred. We offer a competitive package including pension, generous annual leave, and extensive training.

Qualifications

• Inspire others with a positive attitude toward supporting vulnerable people.
• Experience with autistic people is helpful but not essential.
• Personal experience or a passion for helping others is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, eating)
• Encourage activities they enjoy (swimming, hiking, arts & crafts)
• Support life skills & independence (budgeting, shopping, meal preparation)
