Job summary

Certitude is hiring a Support Worker in Ealing to assist people in their homes and in the community. You will enable people to live the lives they want by providing personalised support and building empowering relationships.

Role involves working with individuals with learning disabilities/autism, maintaining calm in challenging situations, and promoting independent decision-making. Training and development are provided, with a view to career progression.

Qualifications

• Supporting people who may challenge (verbally, physically), particularly people on the autistic spectrum
• Keeping calm and confident in challenging situations
• Experience of enabling people with a learning disability/autism to take positive risks in their lives
• Possess a manual driving licence and be able to drive a 7-seater van (Ideally)
• Knowledge of the Transforming Care Agenda

Responsibilities

• Building great relationships with people we support and the people important to their lives
• Promoting choice and participation when supporting people with daily tasks
• Co-creating opportunities for people to try new things and offering information to support people to make their own choices
• Offering personalised support by working with people’s strengths to build their confidence and overcome obstacles with the aim of achieving their goals
• Encouraging people to participate in activities that bring them joy and meaning

About The Role

As a Support Worker, you will work directly with people in their homes and in the community. You will be expected to support people with a variety of needs, enabling them to live the lives they want.

Duties Will Include
