Job summary

Certitude in Ealing is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist people in their homes and community, helping them to live the lives they want.

You will build strong relationships, promote independence, and provide personalised support to individuals with diverse needs. Full-time hours and a permanent contract offer stability and opportunity to grow within our compassionate team.

Qualifications

• Support people who may challenge behaviour (verbal/physical), especially autistic individuals.
• Maintain calm and confident approach in challenging situations.
• Experience enabling people with learning disability/autism to take positive risks.
• Possess a manual driving licence and be able to drive a 7-seater van (ideally).
• Knowledge of the Transforming Care Agenda.

About the role

As a Support Worker, you will work directly with people in their homes and in the community. You will be expected to support people with a variety of needs, enabling them to live the lives they want.

Duties will include:

• Building great relationships with people we support and the people important to their lives
• Promoting choice and participation when supporting people with daily tasks
• Co-creating opportunities for people to try new things and offering information to support people to make their own choices
• Offering personalised support by working with people’s strength to build their confidence and overcome obstacles with the aim of achieving their goals
