Job summary

Certitude is recruiting Days and Waking Night Support Workers across several London boroughs. This is a permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours per week) with a salary of £24,853–£28,938 per year.

You will support people in their homes and communities, building relationships, promoting choice and participation, and helping individuals to live the lives they want.

Qualifications

• Must be able to support autistic individuals and manage challenging behaviour.
• Manual driving license and ability to drive a 7-seater van.
• Experience in Positive Behaviour Support.
• Experience of enabling people with learning disability/autism to take positive risks.
• Knowledge of the Transforming Care Agenda.

About the role

As a Support Worker, you will work directly with people in their homes and in the community. You will be expected to support people with a variety of needs, enabling them to live the lives they want.

Duties will include:

To be a Support Worker at Certitude, it is essential you:

• Supporting people who may challenge (verbally, physically) particularly people on the autistic spectrum
• Keeping calm and confident in challenging situations
• Experience in Positive Behaviour Support
• Experience of enabling people with a learning disability/autism to take positive risks in their lives
• Possess a manual driving license and be able to drive a 7-seater van
• Knowledge of the Transforming Care Agenda

You will be given training, development and coaching to help you feel confident in providing great support and to help you advance in your career.
