Job summary

National Autistic Society is seeking caring Support Workers for Longford Court to help autistic adults in residential homes. You will follow support plans, assist with daily routines, and promote independence in a supportive team.

We welcome candidates with a passion for helping others; autistic experience is helpful but not essential. Driving licence required; full-time roles (40 hours) may be 30 or 24 hours per week as applicable.

Pale Road and Old Road are specialist services that provides 24-hour residential support for four autistic adults with moderate to complex behavioural needs.

About the Role We are looking for caring and reliable Support Workers.

Your role is to help people live their best lives by following their support plans and daily routines.

What You’ll Do Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, eating) Encourage activities they enjoy (swimming, hiking, arts & crafts) Support life skills & independence (budgeting, shopping, meal preparation) What We’re Looking For For you to inspire others with a positive attitude towards supporting vulnerable people Experience with autistic people is helpful but not essential Personal experience or a passion for helping others is welcome This advert is for full-time positions at 40 hours per week, however we will also consider applicants for 30 or 24 hours per week.

Possession of a driving licence (minimum one year) is essential.
