Job summary

Priory Group is hiring a Support Worker to join The Spinney in Preston. The role is full-time (37 hours) on a rolling 6-week rota with weekend work and mixed shifts. £13.75 per hour.

We provide residential support for adults with learning disabilities and autism. You will be part of a compassionate team delivering personalised care and improving residents’ wellbeing.

Qualifications

  • Care or support work experience is desirable; training provided.
  • Ability to work flexibly and communicate effectively.
  • Willingness to work shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities and personal care as needed.
  • Support implementation of individual care plans with qualified staff.
  • Complete daily notes and update care charts.
  • Maintain professional relationships with residents, families and colleagues.

£13.75 per hour
Full Time – 37 hours - This role follows a rolling 6 week rota and consists of weekend work and mixed shift patterns.

The Spinney has an opportunity for a Support Worker to join our team.

The Spinney is located within Bamber Bridge, a suburb of Preston, in Lancashire. It offers residential support for three adult males and females, including autistic people and individuals with a learning disability. We are located in a pleasant neighbourhood, off a main road.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.

  • Ensure that the people who use our service have any personal needs or requirements met; including personal care, participation in activities and support with daily living tasks to support people who use our service in achieving their outcomes in the way that they choose.
  • Complete daily administration including updating person centred support & care plans, updating charts and completing accurate daily notes.
  • Maintains professional relationships whilst developing a good rapport with the people who use our service, their family, colleagues, visitors and other stakeholders.
  • Through own professional behaviour, including adhering to policies and procedures, contributes to the maintenance of safety, security and confidentiality standards.
