Job summary

Cygnet is recruiting a Care & Support Worker for Norcott Lodge in West Yorkshire. The role involves delivering person-centred care to adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, on a 42-hour week with 12-hour shifts and alternate weekends.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care.
• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
• Learn about individuals’ specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way.
• Assist with and report on medical and welfare needs.
• Safeguard and maintain a safe, clean environment for all.
• Support service users to access the community, attend work, college, hobbies, activities, days out and holidays.
• Involve service users in activities like cooking and cleaning to promote growth and independence.

We are looking for a confident Care & Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding healthcare.

You’ll be working full time 42 hours a week, 12 hour shifts, including alternate weekends (four shifts week one, three shifts week two, on a two week rolling rota), days only, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Norcott Lodge.

Located in the suburbs of Liversedge in West Yorkshire, Norcott Lodge is a specialist residential service providing outcome focused care for adults with learning disabilities and associated complex needs who may have behaviours that challenge.

Person-centred planning is at the heart of everything we do and we are able to meet the changing needs of the people we support as they progress through their care pathway, while ensuring their safety is maintained and their independence supported.

• Salary: £13.15 per hour, rising to £13.45 per hour after three months (£29,435.70 first year), rising to £13.70ph after 18 months
