Job summary

Norcott House, located in the suburbs of Liversedge, West Yorkshire, is seeking a confident Care & Support Worker. This full-time role (42 hours per week, 12-hour shifts) includes alternate weekends on a rolling two-week rota, focusing on person-centred care for adults with learning disabilities and challenging needs.

You will provide emotional and physical support, assist with healthcare tasks, and help residents access community activities while ensuring safety and independence.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all residents.
• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
• Learn about individuals' needs and provide help in the most appropriate way.
• Assist with and report on medical and welfare needs.
• Safeguard residents and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Support access to community activities, work, college, hobbies and days out.
• Engage residents in tasks such as cooking and cleaning to foster independence.

Job description

We are looking for a confident Care & Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding healthcare. You'll be working full time 42 hours a week, 12 hour shifts, including alternate weekends (four shifts week one, three shifts week two, on a two week rolling rota), days only, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Norcott House. Located in the suburbs of Liversedge in West Yorkshire, Norcott House is a specialist residential service providing outcome focused care for adults with learning disabilities and associated complex needs who may have behaviours that challenge. Person-centred planning is at the heart of everything we do and we are able to meet the changing needs of the people we support as they progress through their care pathway, while ensuring their safety is maintained and their independence supported. Your day-to-day
