Job summary

Quality Service Recruitment Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join a close-knit care team. You will assist residents with nightly routines, promote independence, and contribute to overall wellbeing, under supervision from nurses and managers.

Typical hours are 07:00–19:00, Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of £12.75 per hour and 28 days accrued holiday pay. Applicants should have experience in a similar care setting, a valid DBS, and up-to-date Safeguarding,

• Proven experience in a care environment.
• Must have a checkable work history.
• Enhanced DBS check required; online DBS arrangements available if expiring.
• Mandatory training: Saf safeguarding, Moving and Handling, Infection Control.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with nightly routines and promote independence.
• Monitor residents' health and wellbeing with care team support.
• Maintain dignity, respect, and a welcoming environment.
• Coordinate with housekeepers for safe, clean living spaces.
• Provide nutritional support as needed.

*Ideal position for a Support Worker looking for additinal work hours*

As a Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in our close-knit care team, ensuring that residents receive exceptional care and support.

You will help individuals with their nightly routines, promoting their independence, and ensuring their overall health and happiness are at the centre of your priorities.

Additional duties may include the following:

• Personalised Care:
• Follow and support each resident's personalized care plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention to their individual needs.
• Health and Wellbeing:
• Keep a close eye on residents' health, communicating any concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and helping with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
• Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued, respected and cared for.
• Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
• Safety and Comfort:
• Work with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, and respond quickly to emergencies or call bells.
• Nutritional Support:
• Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met

Requirements

• You must have proven experience within a similar care environment
• Have a checkable work history
• Have up to date mandatory training documents, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Moving and Handling, and Infection Control. Should you not have up to date certificates we can offer online training, with an added fee
• Have an in date enhanced DBS check, if your DBS have expired, we can offer the facility to arrange a new one for you.

Your typical hours will start at 07:00 and finish at 19:00. Monday to Friday

You will be paid an hourly rate of £12.75 per hour, with added 28 days accrued holiday pay.
