Job description

Are you a compassionate and enthusiastic individual who loves supporting others? Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of children, young people, and adults? At First City Nursing and Care, we're looking for dedicated Support Workers to join our growing Supported Living team.

You'll be working 1-1, 2-1 or 3-1 with individuals at home and in the community—helping them build independence, confidence, and meaningful connections.

Salary: £12.21 - £12.21 per hour + mileage
Hours: Full-Time, Part-Time, Evenings, Weekends, Nights
Shifts Available: Flexible blocks from 2 to 24 hours | Weekdays 3 PM - 9 PM | Weekends 7 AM - 2:30 PM and/or 2:30 PM - 11 PM

Your Role Will Include:

  • Supporting young adults and individuals with daily routines, personal care, medication, and mobility needs
  • Planning and participating in fun, engaging outings and activities like walks, local events, or recreational trips
  • Promoting independence while ensuring safety, dignity, and well-being
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with individuals and their families
  • Acting as a positive role model and mentor in day-to-day life
  • Supporting individuals with a range of needs including Autism, Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy, Learning Disabilities, Dementia, and Mental Health challenges

What We're Looking For:

  • A caring, patient personality and a genuine passion for helping others
  • A love for being active and involved in the community
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills with a person-centred approach
  • Desirable Previous experience in care or support work (but full training provided!)
  • Essential: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
