Resettlement and Integration Support Worker

Salary:

£15,141 (FTE £25,235)

The Role:

This role is within our Refugee Resettlement team. You will support and empower individuals and families resettling in South Gloucestershire. Your support will be client-centred and tailored to each individual’s needs, including access to healthcare, education, housing, benefits, and meaningful occupation. You will equip individuals and families with the knowledge and tools to become fully independent in the UK.

Overview

The role has three elements:

  1. Supporting a caseload of Homes for Ukraine clients.
  2. Supporting a caseload of newly recognised refugees.
  3. Running drop-in sessions across multiple hubs in South Gloucestershire supporting all resettling communities, including asylum seekers.
Responsibilities include:
  • Leading professional coordination of multi-agency support for individuals or families, including organizing and leading meetings with supporting professionals.
  • Supporting access to schools, English classes, suitable housing, welfare benefits, healthcare, wellbeing services, employment, and training.
  • Assisting families with benefit applications, financial understanding, and income management.
  • Promoting client involvement in decision-making and service development.
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • A valid UK driving license and access to a personal vehicle; business insurance required for travel roles.
  • Effective communication and engagement skills with individuals and families with diverse, specific, cultural, and complex needs.
  • Understanding of the complex needs of asylum seekers and refugees who have experienced trauma.
