Job summary

CareTech Community Services in Dewsbury is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help children and young people aged 3–18 with learning disabilities. Based in a welcoming home, you’ll assist with daily routines, personal care and engaging activities, while building trusting relationships.

You’ll work long day shifts with early starts, late evenings, weekends and sleep-ins, with comprehensive training provided and robust DBS support. Salary is paid per hour.

Qualifications

• Warm, patient and caring with a focus on others.
• No experience needed – full training provided.
• A real desire to make a difference every day.
• Must hold a manual driving licence (vehicles provided at the home).
• Must be able to work weekends and sleep-ins.

Responsibilities

• Support daily routines and personal care for young people.
• Help get them ready for school and meals; plan activities.
• Plan and join trips and creative projects; provide emotional support.
• Keep essential records for high-quality care.
