Job summary

CareTech is recruiting a Male Support Worker for Westbrook House in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, to support adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. The role involves delivering person-centred support, helping with daily living skills, and enabling community access.

We offer full training, a structured induction, and opportunities for career progression. The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins, with DBS checked paid for by CareTech.

Qualifications

• Caring, patient and respectful attitude in interacting with adults with complex needs.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to learn and follow training and induction programme.
• Able to work unsociable hours on a rota basis and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans.
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required.
• Promote independence, dignity and wellbeing.
• Support activities, appointments, and community access.
