FitzRoy Support Services in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist adults with learning disabilities and autism in a supported living setting. You will help individuals live independently, encouraging participation in daily activities and community involvement.

Qualifications

• No previous social care experience required – full training provided.
• Experience of supporting individuals with challenging behaviour is beneficial, but not essential.

Job description

Support Worker – Supported Living (Complex Care)

Location: Birmingham
Pay: £13.00 per hour for days
Contract: Full time days or 30 hours waking nights

Waking nights £13.39

• Early / mid / late shifts between 07:00 and 22:00

FitzRoy Support services in Birmingham provide complex care and in‑depth support for adults with learning disabilities and autism, often with additional physical and mental health needs. We are looking for female Support Workers who are caring, resilient, and enthusiastic to join our dedicated teams.

The Role

You will support people to live fulfilling, meaningful lives by encouraging independence and helping them overcome challenges related to their individual needs. Your role will be varied and rewarding, requiring flexibility, patience, and a person‑centred approach.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing personal care and support with feeding and daily living
• Encouraging and supporting independence
• Supporting people to take part in community activities
• Responding calmly and confidently to challenging situations
• Promoting a healthy, balanced, and fulfilling lifestyle

Experience of supporting individuals with challenging behaviour is beneficial, but not essential as full training is provided.

• £13.00 per hour (weekdays and weekends)
• £13.39 per hour waking nights 30 hours per week
• Enhanced over time rates (over 37.5 hours)
• 30 days holiday from day one, increasing with service
• Full UK driving licence
