About Community Integrated Care

Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We transform lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred support that fosters independence and empowerment.

Our charity was founded in 1988 and we were one of the pioneers of the ‘Care in the Community’ agenda, enabling people to move out of long-stay institutions and live more fulfilling lives.

Since then, we’ve remained leaders in social care, providing bespoke support to thousands across the UK. Today, we support more than 2,600 people and employ 6,600 caring and committed colleagues across England and Scotland.

We have a proud history of breaking boundaries and are always looking for new ways to make a positive difference through bold ideas, innovative projects and impactful partnerships.

Working closely with the Service Leader and the Support Worker team, you will be responsible for three ladies and two gents who currently live in the 5 apartments at this service, all of working age.

Our Support Needs & Challenges

All the people supported here hold a diagnosis of a Learning Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder or Physical Disability. Some of the people supported can at times display behaviours that can be described as challenging to services.

All the staff team have received a mandatory training to meet the needs of the people who live at the service. Alongside this they have received training specific to individuals needs, these include positive behaviour support, PICA, moving and positioning training

What is important to us?

All the people supported have moved here as other housing options have not worked for them or supported our strategy of ‘Best Lives Possible’. By moving to this service they have their ‘own front door’ and are able to fully realise their individual potential in developing independent living skills.

The people supported each have their own interests which they will pursue individually, these include things like, shopping trips, scenic drives and walks, going to sensory sessions and coffee shops. The people supported are always open to new ideas and experiences to widen their experience

Our Shifts:

There are a variety of shifts worked in the service, long day shifts 7am-10pm, Flexi shifts (these are delivered in line with peoples identified needs or outcomes) sleep in duty and a waking night duty.

You must be able to do long day sleep in shifts

  • Daily activities - anything and everything the person we support like to do is something you might provide support with! So come ready and willing to put yourself out there and try some new things
