Job summary

Disability North is recruiting to support a young autistic woman with learning disabilities in Newcastle’s Kenton Bank Foot area. You will provide 2:1 support, follow a Positive Behaviour Support Plan, and help with daily living and activities in a small, professional team.

Role requires two years’ relevant experience, NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, and a driving licence. Weekend shifts and on-call coverage may apply; two weeks of induction and ongoing training are

Qualifications

• Must have at least two years’ experience of working with autistic children or adults and be able to implement a positive behaviour plan.
• Must be trained to NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
• You will be capable of working in a small professional team and following a Behaviour Support Plan.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Positive Behaviour Support Plan calmly and consistently.
• Support M with daily living skills and emotional stability.
• Work as part of a 24/7 team to promote choice, control and independence.
