Job summary

IBC Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide person-centred care for individuals with learning difficulties and mental health needs. The role is days-only, full-time (42 hours per week), with a pay rate of £13.60 per hour.

The successful candidate will work both independently and as part of a team, supporting with daily tasks, medication, and community activities while promoting independence and wellbeing. Full training and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting individuals with learning difficulties.
  • Experience working with Mental Health conditions, Complex Care, and Challenging Behaviours.
  • A Full UK Driving Licence (desired but not essential)
  • Strong multi-tasking, time management, and organisational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and flexibility.
  • A caring, compassionate, and positive approach to support.
  • Confidence managing challenging behaviour and conflict.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred support to individuals with disabilities, including those with complex needs, enabling them to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Support with daily tasks such as medication administration, cooking, cleaning, and completing paperwork.
  • Offer both emotional and practical support.
  • Help individuals access community facilities and participate in community activities.
  • Build trusting relationships that promote independence and improve quality of life.
  • Empower individuals to develop new skills and explore hobbies and interests.
