Job summary

IBC Healthcare is seeking a committed Support Worker to join our enabled living services in Rednal, Birmingham. The role focuses on person-centred care for adults with complex needs, delivering practical support and facilitating access to community activities.

Responsibilities include medication administration, daily tasks, and enabling independence. A driving licence is essential, with full training and career development provided by IBC Healthcare.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting people with mental health conditions, complex care needs, challenging behaviours, autism and psychosis.
  • Driving licence is essential.

  • Role: Support Worker
  • Pay Rate: £12.90Per Hour
  • Shifts: Options of day shift or Night shift
  • Full-time - 42hours per week

Duties Include

  • To support people with disabilities, including individuals with profound and complex needs, using person-centred approaches to enable people to achieve positive outcomes as defined in their support plan.
  • Basic daily duties include medication administration, cooking, cleaning, and paperwork.
  • To Provide emotional and practical support.
  • To support the people in our care to access community facilities and be included in community groups.
  • To build a robust relationship with the people in our care to promote independence and improve quality of life.
  • To Empower the people in our care to learn new skills or pursue hobbies and interests.

Person Specifications

  • Previous experience Supporting people with Mental Health Conditions, Complex Care needs, Challenging Behaviours, Autism andPsychosis
  • Driving Licence Essential
  • The ability to multi-task.
  • Good time management, organization, attention to detail and flexibility.
  • IT literate.
  • A positive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Good Communication Skills.
