Job summary

IBC Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide person-centred support for individuals with disabilities and complex needs. The role is days-based, full-time, with a 42-hour week and a pay rate of £13.60 per hour.

Training is fully paid, with funded Diplomas Level 2-5 and additional benefits such as a Blue Light Card, Cycle to Work, and wellbeing support. You will work both independently and as part of a team, establishing trusting relationships and empowering clients to develop

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting individuals with learning difficulties.
  • Experience working with mental health conditions, complex care and challenging behaviours.
  • Full UK Driving Licence is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong multi-tasking, time management, and organisational skills.
  • Caring, compassionate and positive approach to support.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Confidence managing challenging behaviour and conflict.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred support to individuals with disabilities, including those with complex needs.
  • Support with daily tasks such as medication administration, cooking, cleaning, and paperwork.
  • Offer both emotional and practical support.
  • Help individuals access community facilities and participate in community activities.
  • Build trusting relationships that promote independence and improve quality of life.
  • Empower individuals to develop new skills and explore hobbies and interests.

Person Specification

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience supporting individuals with learning difficulties
  • Experience working with Mental Health conditions, Complex Care, and Challenging Behaviours
  • A Full UK Driving Licence (desired but not essential)
  • Strong multi-tasking, time management, and organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and flexibility
  • A caring, compassionate, and positive approach to support
  • Confidence managing challenging behaviour and conflict
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
