Job summary

Priory Apple Mews in Armagh, Northern Ireland, is recruiting a Support Worker to join our team. We provide residential and nursing care for 30 adults with diverse needs, including autism and learning disabilities.

Compensation starts at £13.45 per hour with a £1,000 welcome bonus, and there are both full-time and part-time hours available. You will work with a compassionate team, supporting residents with personal care, activities, and care plans while maintaining records and promoting dignity

Qualifications

• Experience in care or support work is desirable; training will be provided.
• Ability to work flexibly and think innovatively.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to upholding professional standards, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support with daily living tasks.
• Encourage and assist participation in activities and community life.
• Support service users in achieving personal outcomes as chosen.
• Maintain accurate records, care plans, charts and notes.
• Build positive relationships with service users, families and staff.
• Uphold safety, security and confidentiality per policies.
• Act as a key worker for individuals, helping set goals and track progress.
• Promote choice, independence and involvement at all times.
