Agincare is recruiting Support Workers for services in Colsterworth, near Grantham, to help people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health and complex needs live as independently as possible at home and in the local community.

As part of a welcoming team you will support daily living activities, promote independence, and deliver person-centred care. Refer a friend incentives, funded training, and pension scheme are available to employees.

Formación

• Minimum 12 months on your right to work in the UK.
• Full time, Part Time and Bank positions available.
• Experience supporting people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health and complex needs.

Responsabilidades

• Encouraging people to take active roles in their communities to support independence.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living including personal care, meals planning and budgeting.
• Communicate effectively using each person’s preferred method.
• Engage to enhance quality of life and promote wellbeing.
• Specialise in positive behavioural support approaches where required.
• Record accurately and report health or circumstance changes to management.
• Be a team player, working collaboratively and using own initiative.

This is a unique service offering supporting living, enabling people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and local community.

Encouraging – people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.

Supporting – Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.

Communicating - effectively communicate using people’s chosen methods

Engaging - promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life

Specialising - supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches

Recording - keeping accurate records &reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management

Team player – Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
