Job description

Come and be part of Sam’s* story – Join his new support team!

No experience needed – full training provided. All we ask is that you bring the right attitude, a good sense of fun, and a passion for helping someone live life their way.

Are you a people person who loves getting out and about, trying new things, and making every day count? Could you support someone to follow their passions, build confidence, and enjoy all the ordinary moments that make life special?

We are looking for a new team of enthusiastic and friendly support workers to support Sam, a young man in his late 20s, to live his life to the fullest.

Sam* is a sociable, energetic person who loves being busy and involved. He has a huge passion for acting and singing and enjoys taking part in groups, rehearsals, and performances. He loves spending time with his friends and girlfriend, going out for meals, exploring his local community, and one of his favourite things to do is jump in his car and enjoy a long drive.

Because driving is such an important part of Sam’s life, a full UK manual driving licence is essential for this role.

Family is incredibly important to Sam. His dad is a big part of his life, and Sam spends around half of his time with him. You will be helping Sam maintain the relationships, routines, and activities that bring him happiness and make his life meaningful.

We want to build a team around Sam who will see the person first — someone who will get to know what makes him smile, what matters to him, and how he wants to spend his time. You’ll support Sam to become more independent while making sure he feels comfortable, listened to, and supported at his own pace.

Things that Sam may need help with:
  • Helping Sam get ready for the day ahead when he needs a little support
  • Supporting with medication and managing finances
  • Helping him keep his home running through cooking, cleaning, and everyday household tasks
  • Supporting him to enjoy his hobbies, performances, friendships, and community activities
  • Encouraging confidence, independence, and new experiences

You don’t need previous experience in care to join Sam’s team. What matters most is your personality, your willingness to learn, and your desire to support someone to live a full and meaningful life. You’ll receive full training and ongoing support to help you develop the skills and confidence you need.

We are creating a brand-new team for Sam, with a range of part-time roles available. We are not looking for full-time staff, so this is a great opportunity for people who want flexible hours and to become part of a supportive team.

What Sam is looking for in a Support Worker:
  • Kind, patient, and positive
  • Fun and friendly
  • Reliable and committed
  • Interested in helping someone achieve their goals and enjoy life

If you’re ready to help Sam enjoy a life full of laughter, friendships, adventures, and opportunities, we’d love to hear from you.

Come and be part of Sam’s gloriously ordinary life.
