Job summary

Keys Group in Weymouth is seeking a dedicated Care Worker for our Supported Living and Outreach service. You will provide day-to-day support, promote independence, assist with personal care, and accompany health appointments.

You will also help with budgeting, exercise personal skills, and support daily living activities. No prior care experience is required as we offer full training, coaching and development, plus DBS paid, annual leave, and progression opportunities through our Connected

Qualifications

  • No prior care sector experience required - full training, coaching and development provided.
  • Must be over 18 years old and eligible to work in the UK.

  • Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
  • Promoting independence while helping them live a fulfilling life.
  • Supporting and encouraging development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying routine appointments or administering medication.
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills and shopping.
  • Assisting with personal care as required.
  • Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning and cooking.
  • Providing guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.

Job description

Our specialist Supported Living and Outreach service in Weymouth, provides support for people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health needs and Acquired Brain Injuries We work in partnership with Local Health Professionals such as social workers, community nurses, and specialists such as Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. Person Centred Planning Our staff support each person to create a person-centred plan that tells us how they want to live their life now and in the future. Through a range of communication tools, we ensure that each person is closely involved in the development of their own plan.
