Job summary

Easycare 4 U Limited in West Yorkshire is seeking compassionate, resilient Support Workers to help vulnerable adults live more independently in a supported living setting. You will deliver person-centred, trauma-informed support and support residents with daily living skills, community engagement and personal goal attainment.

The role involves day, evening, weekend and bank holiday shifts on a permanent, zero-hours contract.

Qualifications

  • 6 months or more experience in social care sector in the UK

Responsibilities

  • Providing practical, emotional and social support to residents
  • Supporting individuals with daily living skills, including cooking, budgeting, cleaning and maintaining their accommodation
  • Encouraging independence and positive decision-making
  • Supporting residents to develop healthy routines and positive relationships
  • Working in accordance with individual support plans, risk assessments and behavioural support plans
  • Recognising and responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns
  • Supporting individuals to manage challenging situations and reduce the risk of crisis
  • Maintaining accurate records, case notes and incident reports
  • Encouraging residents to take responsibility for their own choices and progress

Support Worker - Supported Living

Location: West Yorkshire

Salary: £12.71 per hour

Hours: Full-time / Part-time

Shift Pattern: Days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required

Contract: Permanent, zero hours

We are looking for compassionate, resilient, and motivated Support Workers to join our team supporting vulnerable adults and individuals with previous offending histories within a supported living environment.

This is a rewarding role where you will help individuals develop their independence, build confidence, maintain their accommodation, engage with their community, and work towards achieving their personal goals.

You will be supporting people with a range of needs and life experiences. This may include individuals who have experienced homelessness, mental health challenges, substance misuse, social exclusion, offending behaviour, or difficulties maintaining independent living.

The Role

As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred, trauma-informed and strengths-based support, helping residents develop the skills and confidence they need to live as independently as possible.

Your responsibilities will include:

About You

We are looking for someone who is non-judgemental, patient and able to build positive professional relationships with people who may have complex needs or challenging life experiences.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience working in supported living, social care, mental health, homelessness, rehabilitation, substance misuse, probation or a related setting
  • A genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable adults
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • A positive and solution-focused approach
  • Reliability, resilience and a willingness to learn
Essential
  • 6 months or more experience in social care sector in the UK
