Job summary

The National Autistic Society is seeking a dedicated Support Worker in Swansea to help residents lead fulfilling lives according to individual support plans. The role involves assisting with personal care, daily routines, and promoting engagement in activities across four homes and a bungalow.

We value a compassionate outlook and welcome personal experience or a passion for helping others. Driving may be preferred for some shifts; flexible or fixed shifts are available within a 39-hour week.

About the Service

Longford Court includes four residential homes, Ty Coed, Ty Mawr, Ty Mynydd, and Ty Canol, and one bungalow, Ty Coed Bungalow. Pale Road and Old Road are specialist services that provides 24-hour residential support for four autistic adults with moderate to complex behavioural needs.

About the Role

We are looking for caring and reliable Support Workers. Your role is to help people live their best lives by following their support plans and daily routines.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, eating)
  • Encourage activities they enjoy (swimming, hiking, arts & crafts)
What We’re Looking For
  • For you to inspire others with a positive attitude towards supporting vulnerable people
  • Experience with autistic people is helpful but not essential

This advert is for a full-time position at 39 Hours per week. Our shifts are between 7.30 a.m. and 10 p.m. and we can offer flexible or fixed shifts (i.e. morning or afternoon only).

Possession of a driving licence (minimum one year)ispreferred
