Job summary

Prestige Nursing & Care Ashby is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to provide in-home care for a client in Leicestershire. You will support personal care, accompany the client on outings, and assist with daily tasks to help her stay independent in her own home.

Driving is essential. Training and DBS checks are provided, with a supportive local team and 24/7 out-of-hours assistance. You will be expected to work shifts including weekends in a 2:1 care pattern.

Qualifications

• Experience of caring for people with Learning Disabilities/Autism.
• Driving license is required.
• Flexible, motivated and fun-loving person with caring values.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks (toileting, dressing, showering) and medications.
• Help with practical tasks (shopping, meal preparation, domestic tasks) and support daily living activities.
• Provide emotional and social support through befriending and community access.
• Support two-person daytime care 07:00–20:30, and 1:1 sleep-in 21:00–07:00 as required.

We have a great opportunity to join our team as a Support Worker to provide care and support for an individual within her own home. A motivated, flexible and fun-loving person with experience of caring for people with Learning Disabilities/Autism would be a perfect fit. The role would be supporting her to go out and about and explore her wider community so being a driver is essential.

What our client is looking for:

The purpose of this role is to support with all aspects of the client's life. She requires support with personal care tasks including toileting, dressing, showering, and assisting with medications. You will also be helping with practical tasks including shopping, meal preparation, and domestic tasks, and emotional/social support through befriending, accessing the community, and participating in activities.

Your based with be at her home in Hugglescote (LE67) with training being provided in Ashby (LE65).

The package of care is 2:1 throughout the day with two people present at all times from 0700-2030 and we require people to be able to commit to these shift patterns, including weekend work. Outside of 0700-2030, it is only 1:1 care with a sleep-in shift in place from 2100-0700 which is paid at NMW.
