Job summary

Prestige Nursing + Care is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to care for a client at her home in the UK. You will provide personal care, assist with medications, and help with daily tasks while supporting social activities and community access.

The role requires a driver and a flexible approach to shift patterns, including early mornings, evenings and weekends. DBS checks and right to work in the UK are standard requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience of caring for people with Learning Disabilities/Autism.
• Driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care tasks such as toileting, dressing and showering.
• Assist with medications, shopping, meal preparation and domestic tasks.
• Provide emotional and social support, befriending and help with community activities.
• Support client to go out and about in the community, including transport.
• Be flexible with shift patterns (2:1 staffing 0700–2030; 1:1 with sleep-in 2100–0700).

We have a great opportunity to join our team as a Support Worker to provide care and support for an individual within her own home. A motivated, flexible and fun-loving person with experience of caring for people with Learning Disabilities/Autism would be a perfect fit. The role would be supporting her to go out and about and explore her wider community so being a driver is essential.

What our client is looking for:

The purpose of this role is to support with all aspects of the client's life. She requires support with personal care tasks including toileting, dressing, showering, and assisting with medications. You will also be helping with practical tasks including shopping, meal preparation, and domestic tasks, and emotional/social support through befriending, accessing the community, and participating in activities.

Your based with be at her home in Hugglescote (LE67) with training being provided in Ashby (LE65).

The package of care is 2:1 throughout the day with two people present at all times from 0700-2030 and we require people to be able to commit to these shift patterns, including weekend work. Outside of 0700-2030, it is only 1:1 care with a sleep-in shift in place from 2100-0700 which is paid at NMW.
