Job summary

SIS is recruiting a Support Worker for a mental health supported living scheme in Stone, Staffordshire. You will support residents in semi-independent living within a 12-unit service, focusing on their personal goals and well-being.

The role requires empathy, reliability, and the ability to work with individuals with mental health needs. DBS checks are enhanced, and progression opportunities, pension benefits, and bonuses are included.

Qualifications

• Level 2 health and social care qualification or willingness to work towards it.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for making a difference in care.
• Self-motivated, empathetic, dynamic and creative within the care sector.
• Experience of mental health needs and challenging behaviours.

The Support Worker role

About The Service

Sherwood House is a new refurbished service which has 12 one-bedroom, self-contained apartments based in the town centre of Stone, close to local amenities and transport links. For the individuals we care for, this may be their first opportunity to live semi-independently and develop independent living skills. Whilst challenging, there is lots of opportunity for the successful candidate to help improve people’s lives and build an excellent team around the service.
