Job summary

Potens UK is recruiting a Support Worker for Bourne Bridge House in South Molton. You will help young adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, in a residential setting, with flexible shifts and some sleep-ins.

We are pleased to announce we have an exciting opportunity here at Potens for a Support Worker.

Please note that sponsorship is not available for this role.

All applicants must hold a full, valid, and clean driving licence and have their own vehicle due to the location and the needs of the service.

Bourne Bridge House, South Molton is set in six acres of land, giving us a beautiful working environment and great surroundings. This is a residential service where we support young adults with learning disabilities and or autism.

What we’ll give you:

We will ensure you are rewarded for all your hard work, which is why we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes, but is not limited to:

  • £13.35 per hour weekdays and £13.60 at weekends.
  • Fuel allowance, £50 per month for full time staff and £25 per month for part time staff.
  • Full time 40 hours per week.
  • Flexible shift patterns available to promote work/home life balance, so a combination of earlies, lates, and long days. Sleep-ins and waking nights may be required.

What you’ll be doing:
  • We support people across a range of activities that can include swimming, cinema, theatre, outdoor pursuits, forest school, and day to day tasks such as shopping a visit to the pub or even accompanying them on holiday.
  • Our main aim is to provide a homely environment for people with learning disabilities in which continuous encouragement, education, and stimulation are at the core element of supporting the people that live here with us at Bourne Bridge House.
  • Encouraging choice and involvement, supporting with personal care, and gaining life skills. Supporting and taking part in activities.
