Job summary

Community Integrated Care is recruiting dedicated Support Workers for a new service opened in 2025, helping young adults transition to assisted living. You will work closely with individuals using PBS methods, focusing on mental health, autism, and complex needs, with opportunities for training and progression.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in mental health, autism and sensory communication, and physical health is important.

, We’re currently expanding our already well-established team and are looking for an experienced mental health support worker to join us. While having a full UK driving licence is desirable, it’s not essential for this role. We have welcomed more individuals into their service, and we want to ensure we continue to have the right support in place to provide high-quality support.

Strong experience in mental health, autism and sensory communication, and physical health is important. It's best to have experience in using PBS methods, but we will support you to gain qualifications whilst working in service anyway.

We will help you to develop your talents with a range of specialist training, including the opportunity to learn Positive Behaviour Support methods (PBS), Makaton and the Picture Exchange System.

During the recruitment process, you will get to meet the people we support in their own home. This will allow you to see their wonderful personalities first-hand and fully understand the level of support that they require.

The people we support are unique, and have support needs ranging from learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy, mental health, and other complex needs, which could mean that they sometimes display behaviours that can challenge. It's our mission to ensure the people we support can, and do, lead their best life possible!

You will know how to connect with people and be passionate about supporting people to live independently. You will also be a brilliant team player and share your skills and experiences with your colleagues.
