Job summary

Community Integrated Care is seeking a relief Support Worker in Stonehaven to join their team. You will spend your shifts with the person you support, assisting with personal care, daily activities and medication administration where required.

The role offers a warm, inclusive environment with a focus on wellbeing, development and flexible shift patterns. DBS/PVG costs are covered, and you will join a charity investing profits back into services and people.

Qualifications

  • Experience in social care is beneficial.
  • Patience and empathy are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily living tasks and personal care.
  • Support individuals to live independently in their own homes.
  • Administer medication as required and under supervision.

We are recruiting for a relief member of staff to support individuals in our Stonehaven services to live independently in their own homes.

The people we support have faced a lot of challenges in the past but this hasn’t stopped them from enjoying life! The individuals we support bingo, gardening, board games, music and karaoke. However, they’re always up for trying new things, so are looking for inventive people who are up for the challenge. Our support team are very diverse and work well together to ensure the people we support are happy and safe in their own homes. This can include:

  • Supporting with medication administration
  • Cooking
  • Assisting with personal care when required
  • Maintaining the homes of people supported and helping to manage their finances Our team provides support 24 hours a day, so we are looking for some flexibility to work a variety of shifts if possible. Shifts you might work include: 7.30am - 3pm 3pm - 9pm Long day and sleepover (10am until 10am the next day). , We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role, will have professional experience. This is why we're really passionate about recruiting to individuals’ values and we recruit people from all walks of life; From people with vast experience in a support worker or care assistant role, from people with lived experiences who may have friends or relatives with disabilities or have looked after older relatives, to people with no experience at all.
