Job summary

Orbis Education and Care is hiring a dedicated Support Worker in Treorchy, to assist adults with autism and complex needs at home and in the community. You will support daily routines, personal care, meals, shopping, and social activities, building meaningful relationships and promoting independence.

The role involves day and night shifts on a rota, full-time hours, and driving is essential for community outings and activities.

Support Worker – Ty Enfys, Treorchy

£13.45 - £13.75 per hour | Full Time | 40.25 Hours per Week

At Orbis Education and Care, we're looking for caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our dedicated team in Treorchy, supporting adults with autism and complex needs to live happy, active, and meaningful lives.

About The Role

As a Support Worker, you'll be supporting individuals both at home and in the community, helping them achieve their goals, develop independence, and enjoy the activities they love. This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll build genuine relationships and make a positive difference every day.

What a Typical Day Could Look Like
  • Supporting individuals with their daily routines and personal care.
  • Helping with meal preparation, shopping, and household tasks.
  • Accompanying individuals to community activities and appointments.
  • Supporting hobbies and interests such as playing football, going for walks, visiting local attractions, attending social events, and enjoying leisure activities.
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and life skills development.
  • Providing emotional support and promoting wellbeing.
  • Working alongside colleagues, families, and professionals to deliver person-centred support.
  • Completing care records and reports accurately.
Shift Pattern

This is a full-time position working 40.25 hours per week on a rota basis, including a mixture of day and waking night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays.

Shifts Are
  • Day Shift: 8:00am - 8:30pm
  • Night Shift: 8:00pm - 8:30am
Driver Essential

Due to the needs of the individuals we support and the activities they enjoy accessing within the community, a full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
