Job summary

Orbis Education and Care is seeking caring, resilient individuals to join Ty Banwen, a welcoming home for adults with trauma, mental health challenges, or learning disabilities. The role supports daily living, independence, and personal care in a compassionate setting.

The position offers pay between £13.45 and £13.75 per hour, plus sleep-in payments, with benefits and opportunities for funded qualifications. DBS check is required; join a dedicated team making a real difference.

Qualifications

  • Previous care experience is preferred but not essential.
  • A current valid UK driving licence.
  • Compassion and empathy requested.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility around shift patterns, including sleep-ins and weekends.
  • Be reliable, punctual and trustworthy.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring individuals' physical, emotional, and social needs are met in a supportive environment.
  • Being a positive role model for residents.
  • Promoting independence by supporting activities, hobbies and community opportunities.
  • Collaborating to tailor support to individual needs and aspirations.
  • Keeping accurate records of activities, progress and incidents when required.
  • Assisting with general housekeeping duties, including meal preparation and daily living tasks.
  • Providing personal care where required, ensuring dignity, respect and wellbeing at all times.
