Job summary

Orbis Education & Care is seeking a Senior Support Worker for Cartref Mynydd, a 5 bed residential home in Swansea supporting adults with autism and complex needs. You will lead shifts, support the Home Manager, and help create a warm, inclusive environment where residents feel valued and respected.

Experience in positive support, safeguarding, and DBS clearance is required. The role offers progression, health plan post‑probation, and refer-a-friend incentives.

Qualifications

• QCF Level 3 or working toward essential.
• Enhanced DBS with barred list check required.
• Experience in managing challenging behaviour important.
• Knowledge of safeguarding regulations required.
• Provide and update care plans and policies as needed.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Senior Support Worker with Orbis Education and Care Involves:

• Leading the team whilst on shift.
• Assist in ensuring service scoring standards are maintained.
• Assist in reporting and evidence gathering activities.
• Work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in assessment, development and review of support and care plans.
• Promote and celebrate homes achievements.

To be a successful Senior Support Worker with Orbis Education and Care, you'll need:

• Experience in a positive support environment.
• QCF level 3 qualified, or working towards.
• Experience in managing challenging behaviour.
• Knowledge of statutory regulations.
• Lead by example and always act as a positive role model.
• Upload company policies and standards.
• Able to understand and adhere to relevant safeguarding.
• Good awareness of conducting Health and Safety risk assessments.

Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
