Job summary

M&D Care in Pontardawe near Swansea is looking for a dedicated Support Worker to join our residential service. You will provide emotional and practical care, supporting individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs.

No prior experience is required as full training is provided, and you will work with a compassionate team to promote independence and well-being. Shift patterns include weekends and nights on a rota basis, with contractual hours to suit.

Qualifications

• Must have a genuine passion for providing care.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be aged 18 or over.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to individuals with mental health needs and learning disabilities.
• Assist with daily living tasks including personal care, meal preparation, medication management, and shopping.
• Promote independence, dignity, and well-being through engaging and meaningful activities.
• Work autonomously while maintaining the safety and respect of those you support.
• Comply with regulatory standards set by Social Care Wales and Care Inspectorate Wales.

Join our passionate team at M&D Care as a Support Worker in our Residential service in Pontardawe near Swansea and make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable adults. As a Support Worker, you’ll provide emotional and practical care in a residential setting. No experience is necessary as full training will be given, but having the right values is important to us.

M&D Care are an established family-oriented business, which is run by a passionate team of professionals who deliver specialist, complex and bespoke care services throughout Southwest Wales for people with Learning Disability, Physical Disability and Mental Health needs. • A variety of contracted hours available: 22.5. 37.5 and 45 hours per week)

• Opportunity to gain a QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care after probation, with full support
